Hi! I'm Kelly
I live in the mountains of western North Carolina with my husband, our eight year old son and a wild puppy named Chili. I love exploring our beautiful area, all things arts and crafts, music, houseplants and audiobooks.
My love of art bloomed a little later in life. I started taking some art courses in college, fell in love, and graduated with a business degree - a few credits short of an art minor. Since then I’ve been teaching myself anything and everything from watercolor painting and surface pattern design to woodblock carving and embroidery. My career took an early turn towards user experience design, which pushed me more into the digital world, where I started picking up Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
My artwork is a mix of traditional and digital media, which is so fun because the possibilities are endless. I’m influenced heavily by folk art forms and tactile processes and I’m endlessly inspired by the mountains and the beauty of the natural world. I’ll never stop painting flowers.
